Actress Courtney Cox has revealed that her latest TV role as the editor of a tawdry tabloid magazine has made her a greater paparazzi target in real life.
In new US drama series Dirt, Courtney plays Lucy Stiller, the ruthless editor of Dirt magazine who will stop at nothing to get the inside scoop on Hollywood celebrities.
"I'm pretty ruthless," Courtney tells the BBC. "It's a racy, outrageous, fun show. There's betrayal and deception and a lot of sex and there's jealously and drugs - it's pretty salacious in every way."
Though Courtney has been a focus of the paparazzi ever since her days playing Monica on Friends, she says that media interest in her life has never been greater.
"Since I have been doing Dirt I have been more of a target for paparazzi, than I used to be. There's usually someone outside of my house every day."
Dirt premieres in the UK on digital service Five US on 9 July.
