JK Rowling has revealed she broke down in floods of tears after finishing the final Harry Potter book.

The author says she broke down after writing the final sentences of seventh book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows � which is released in a couple of weeks.

She said in a TV interview last night, �I was sobbing my heart out - I downed half a bottle of champagne from the mini bar in one and went home with mascara all over my face. That was really tough."
