Controversial filmmaker Spike Lee has berated the Hollywood movie industry for ignoring black soldiers in World War 2 movies.

Lee�s latest movie hopes to redress at least some of that injustice, as he scouts Italy for a location.

�If you look at the history of Hollywood, the black soldiers who fought World War II are totally invisible� Lee told a press conference in Italy.

The new movie, with a budget of US $45million, will be based on the novel �Miracle At St. Anna� written by James McBride.
