Music producer Timbaland has confirmed rumours that pal Nelly Furtado is engaged to her music producer boyfriend.

Nelly has kept her two-year relationship with Demacio "Demo" Castellon largely under wraps, commenting only that she �doesn�t really talk about it.�

Their close friend Timbaland well and truly gave the game away when he replied with a simple "yes" when asked if rumours of an engagement was true.

Nelly has a three-year-old daughter, Nevis, from her relationship with  DJ and producer Jasper "Lil' Jaz" Gahunia.

She and Gahunia split in 2005 after four years together.
