Spawn Versus Batman

Michael Jai White, the star of 90?s comic book flop Spawn, has joined the production of The Dark Knight.

It is believed he will play the role of Gamble in the movie, a street mobster terrorising the streets of Gotham.

In the movie, Batman must decide whether to focus his energies on thugs such as Gamble, or on the new emerging threat led by The Joker.

White has had a career downturn since he appeared as Spawn, making his way through small TV and straight-to-video roles.
