Michael Bay obviously had a budget to stick when directing Transformers.

Reports have emerged that the director used a ship from his previous film Pearl Harbour in the new action flick.

Although the shot of a ship has been digitally tinkered with, it�s undeniably the same shot.

Far from being critical, commentators have praised the director for not lavishing millions of dollars on a model ship after reports that movies such as Pirates of The Caribbean cost an estimated $300million.

US audiences don�t seem to be bothered either with Transformers making a killing at the Box Office, and critics predicting that it will be the hit movie of 2007.
