The long-anticipated movie version of Sex & The City has a studio, a start date and (if spokespeople are reliable sources) all of the main cast members happily and on board.
New Line Cinema has made a deal with the shows network, HBO, to distribute the film, which will be shot in autumn.
The fine details regarding budget and financing are yet to be decided, but Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Sarah Jessica Parker will all be reprising their roles.
A movie has been in the works since the show ended, however the main stay-away was Cattrall.
Angry that Parker was getting more money and an improved role, she is rumoured to have agreed a much better contract, which allegedly includes script input, a heftier salary and a series deal with HBO.
Plot details, a release date and the inclusion of series regulars are all set to be announced once New Line and HBO have finalised the deal, however the news should be music to the ears for fans who have been demanding a movie for some time.
