Elisha Cuthbert, who plays Kim Bauer in the action series 24, has shared her thoughts on whether a movie version of the series will ever come to light.
The actress, currently promoting/defending controversial horror film Captivity, says she would love to do a movie but has no idea whether it will really happen.
I've got the phone waiting by the bed, and I'm just sort of waiting for it to ring and them to tell me 'hey, we're gonna go do the movie', Cuthbert told Cinematical.com.
That would be the ideal situation, but I think Kiefer is so busy getting these seasons done that it's almost impossible to get anything goingwe've been talking about it since the first season but it's got to be good.
Their standards are so high over there that if it happens it's gonna happen at the right time and have the right script and all the elements have to be in the right place.
Doubts have been raised over how such a movie would be made given the shows real-time format. Will the film be 24 hours long? If its just 2 hours long, will it just be called 2? If the real-time aspect is abandoned, will fans still be drawn to it?
Cuthbert can currently be seen in Captivity, which has gained notoriety in the US due to its graphic posters, which were taken down from billboards after complaints from womens groups, among others.
