This years Glastonbury Festival has had its first fatality with police confirming the death of a 26-year-old man.
The unnamed male from the Midlands was found unconscious by festival staff in the early hours of yesterday morning having suffered a suspected drugs overdose, as we reported earlier this morning.
Avon and Somerset police say a full post-mortem examination will now be undertaken. The death is currently not being treated as suspicious.
So far this year at the festival there have been 236 reported crimes, slightly less than the 267 of last year. 158 of these were connected to drugs.
Over 1,000 people have now been treated for injuries, most of these were very minor and related to slips in the mud.
