Up to 1,200 festival goers have been injured in the Glastonbury mud.
Most injured have suffered cuts, bruises, strains and twists to limbs after becoming unbalanced in the quagmire - but 23 people have required hosptial treatment.
Despite this Festival chief Michael Eavis claims the 750,000 he spent on flood defences following 2005's debacle has paid off.
Theres ground water, which has made the site muddy, but its nothing like the situation in 2005 when camping areas flooded," he says.
"Were hoping this is the last day of heavy rain. Everyone seems to be having a good time and its not washed out the spirit.
However, that hope looks to be in vain with weather forecasters predicting up to 80mm of rain - that's more than a month's worth - to come in the next 48 hours.
Police also report a "slight" increase in crime compared to last year, whilst one unnamed 26-year-old man was taken to hosptial in the early hours of yesterday morning after suffering a drugs overdose.
