Simply Red singer Mick Hucknall has become a dad at the grand old age of 47.
The legendary womaniser was said to be �over the moon� after his long-term girlfriend Gabriella Wesberry gave birth to his first child, a daughter named Romy True.
A message on The Simply Red website says that: �Mother and baby are doing fine and Mick is on cloud nine!" In the past he blamed his mother walking out on him when he was three-years-old for the reason why he has had a string of failed relationships.
Mick has described Gabriella as his �soul-mate� saying: �It�s wonderful to have someone who�s your lover and best friend." Is that a lyric from one of his cheesy love songs we wonder?
