Not content with being a top-earning footballer, Rio Ferdinand wants to make it big in Hollywood too.

The Premiership star has overlooked Chris Evans� lack of Hollywood success and turned to the media mogul for help in finding acting roles.

A mole tells the Daily Star, �Rio has been talking to a whole bunch of people and is interested in a string of roles, both on TV and in the world of film.�

Lets hope the film career gets off to a better star than his TV presenting efforts � Rio was left red-faced after he filmed a �Punk�d� style stunt �pretending� to kidnap footie pal David Beckham.

The stunt was made slightly less funny when you consider that the Beckhams have been the victims of a number of real kidnap plots in the past.
