Once a tormented schoolboy ostracized for coming from a poor family, Paul Potts used opera singing as his way to cope.

The hobby paid off, and now the 36 year-old singer has gone from rags to riches, famous, and adored.

"Kids would call him names like �Smelly�, �Potty�, and �Wee-Wee�" said Paul's sister Jane "It knocked his confidence. He felt he�d never achieve anything and all he did was useless�

"Singing was his way out. It meant he could escape the taunts. I think it made him more determined to succeed.�

The mobile phone salesman from Port Talbot, South Wales is now set to make millions. With his newfound fame and fortune he plans to fix his teeth, take his wife on holiday, and even start a family.
