Michael Barrymore has been released on bail after being questioned by police on suspicion of murder.

The actor and TV presenter was released without charge last night following 36 hours in police custody.

Barrymore was questioned by police along with his former lover Jonathan Kenney, 37, and refuse collector Justin Merritt, 32, in renewed investigations into Stuart Lubbock�s death at Barrymore�s Essex home six years ago.

The trio had been previously arrested on suspicion of murder in 2001 after the 31-year-old was found in a swimming pool at the Harlow property following a party there.
