�Donnie Darko� and �Brokeback Mountain� star Jake Gyllenhaal is rumoured to be taking a role in a political play on Broadway.
The actor has held a private reading for the part with the producers of the play, �Farragut North�.
It is said that Gyllenhaal will be up for the part of communications director for an unusual presidential candidate, said to be based on real-life candidate Howard Dean.
