My Chemical Romance have laughed off Marilyn Manson�s recent accusations they have copied his sound.

Singer Gerard Way has accused Manson of self-promotion after he revealed 'Mutilation Is The Most Sincere Form Of Flattery� off his new album �Eat Me, Drink Me� is an attack on MCR for peddling a �sad, pitiful, shallow version� of his own work.

Way tells Rock Sound magazine, �If Elvis Costello said we sucked we would think about it a bit but usually it is comments from someone with a new record to promote so the remarks ring hollow

"We still haven't found someone that has knocked us down that we need to take seriously."
