The Australian actor is planning a new 25,000 seater Stadium for rugby side South Sydney Rabbitohs, which he co-owns.
Crowe wants to share the ground with the Sydney FC soccer team, coincidentally part-owned by fellow actor Anthony LaPaglia.
LaPaglia says, "Russell wants a stadium, I want a stadium and we think together there is a possibility we might be able to pull it off.
"I would say if we could get the right people in the room at the same time, it is something that could happen in two to three years."
Maybe they could hold Gladiator bouts during the half-time breaks?
