'Scared' Paris Hilton Sneaks Into Jail Early

A ?scared? Paris Hilton has entered prison on her own terms, turning herself in early today to start her sentence.

The socialite was expected to enter Los Angeles County Jail later today, but unexpectantly presented herself to authorities in order to beat the waiting glare of the media.

Hilton said in a statement that she was ready to complete her jail term, which has now been reduced to 23 days from 45, although she admitted to being fearful.

The statements reads, ?This is an important point in my life and I need to take responsibility for my actions. In the future, I plan on taking more of an active role in the decisions I make.

?Although I am scared, I am ready to begin my jail sentence."

Wow! Does this mean Paris is finally ready to actually think for herself?
