Men everywhere will be incredulous to learn that John Mayer split with girlfriend Jessica Simpson because he didn�t approve of her revealing dress sense.

The singer reportedly asked Jessica to cover up but she immediately went out and bought loads of cleavage-baring outfits � presumably these are the daring numbers she�s been snapped in lately.

Jessica�s partying and lack of clothing caused rows between the couple, according to insiders. John was apparently furious over her May 4 appearance with the Pussycat Dolls in Las Vegas:

�I believe John asked Jess to think about what was more important tot her- partying or their relationship."

The couple officially announced their split last week, however friends say they are still in contact and could get back together.
