U2 played the Cannes Film Festival last night to promote their new concert movie U23D.
The veteran rockers wheeled out Where the Streets Have No Name and Vertigo on the steps of the Festival Hall before an audience of thousands donned their 3-D glasses.
Ever the schmoozer, singer Bono wished the crowd Happy birthday, Cannes in French, marking the film festivals 60th anniversary.
The new 55 minute film, directed by Catherine Owens and Mark Pellington, covers the bands Vertigo tour.
