A California couple have filed a lawsuit claiming that Leonardo DiCaprio made their home unstable after building a basketball court in the grounds of his Hollywood mansion.

Ronald and Joan Linclau, who live next to the actor, say that during the building of the court their property was excavated and some of their plants were removed.

The suit alleges that this caused support for the couple's swimming pool and deck to destabilize. They say DiCaprio ignored their pleas to stop the work and refused to pay for the damages.

The Linclaus are claiming $250, 000 in damages from the star. DiCaprio has refused to comment on the lawsuit.
