We can expect another three more seasons of hit TV show Lost before it leaves our TV screens for good in 2010.
Forthcoming series? will be sixteen episodes in length, with no mid season break following criticism that the current series was split in two.
TV network ABC is planning a ?highly-anticipated and shocking finale? to the show that follows the lives of a group of plane crash survivors on a mysterious desert island.
"Due to the unique nature of the series, we knew it would require an end date to keep the integrity and strength of the show consistent throughout and to give the audience the pay-off they deserve," said Stephen McPherson, the president of ABC Entertainment.
Lost has seen its viewing figures decline since it?s inaugural season, sliding in the US from 20 million at the height of the show?s popularity to 12 million during the current series.
