Anna Nicole's Baby Back On US Soil

But the custody fight is not over yet...

  • Share

After seemingly endless legal wrangling in the Bahamas, Larry Birkhead has finally been allowed to bring his baby daughter to the US.

On his return to his hometown of Louisiana, a weary-looking Birkhead told waiting reporters, "It just feels good to be home."

This is just a pit stop, however, in the long-running battle over paternity and now custody of baby Daniellynn that began following the death of her mother, Anna Nicole Smith in February.

Anna Nicole's mother, Virgie Arthur is still pursuing custody of the child and Birkhead must return with his daughter to a Bahamian court next month for a formal custody hearing.

As for father and daughters long term future, Birkhead has hinted at the possibility of raising Dannielynn in a more rural setting to avoid media scrutiny.

Strange then that the sometime model and photographer has courted the media during the whole paternity battle and recently sold his story to NBC for six figures.
