Have Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon been trying to give the media the slip regarding their relationship? We only ask because the coy pair have been spotted out and about together in LA even though they had supposedly called time on their budding romance.
According to TMZ.com the alleged non-couple were spied last Friday driving together on the 101 Freeway just outside LA. Apparently, the 'friends' were laughing together and looking pretty cosy as they drove off into the sunset in Jake's new X5.
This sighting comes just a week after stories appeared suggesting that Reese had decided to call it quits with Jake because she didn't want to confuse her two children by bringing another man in her life so soon after her split from husband Ryan Philippe.
Insiders say the pair became more than just co-stars during the shooting of forthcoming film, Rendition, and spent much of their time hanging out in each others trailers between takes.
Whatever the true nature of their relationship, they're certainly spending a lot of time together for a couple that has recently split.
