A friend of Melanie Brown has spoken about her relationship with Eddie Murphy, revealing the reason the pair split up, and even lifting the lid on Brown�s lesbian flings. Bet she won�t be invited to the Christening�

Speaking to Closer magazine, Christa Parker said she has been the former Spice Girls� confidant during the last three years.

Mel was introduced Murphy by a mutual friend at a party in Los Angeles in June last year. The pair enjoyed a whirlwind romance and within weeks were reportedly discussing marriage. Christa says: "there was an instant attraction when she and Eddie met and she knew it was something special".

August, just two months after meeting, Mel called Christa to announce she was pregnant: "She was delighted. She hadn't told Eddie yet, but when she did she told me he was over the moon."

However, the cracks soon began to appear in their relationship, which Parker blames on the age gap between the pair: "Eddie was paranoid because of the 15-year age difference between them and he was afraid she was going to leave him."

After Eddie refused to accompany Mel to a baby scan a huge row erupted between the pair, which resulted in their break-up. Eddie informed Mel that she wasn't invited to a huge black tie event that he was attending, she responded by moving her things out of his home.

Christa told Closer: "I think that by walking out and staying away she thought Eddie might come to his senses and they would get back together.�

She revealed that: "Mel admitted to me she would always love Eddie�. And despite him publicly dumping the star when she was heavily pregnant and denying the baby is his, she would still probably take him back.

"Even after the way he has treated her and snubbed his own daughter, I think Mel would still take him back."

Actress Elizabeth Rodriguez, who also claims to be a close friend of Mel's has said that she was so desperate to get Eddie Murphy back that she even tried voodoo: "Mel asked me to come along because she knew I had an interest in voodoo and could speak Spanish to help her communicate with Tabitha.

"Mel was totally into it. In one ritual she had to write down the names of people involved in her troubles and put the paper, a pair of Eddie's boxers, her knickers as well as a photo of themselves all in jar and bury it," says Elizabeth.

Christa also admitted to enjoying a lesbian fling with Melanie, not long after they met, admitting she was too embarrassed to talk to her friend about what had happened and the pair never discussed it again. She also claims that Melanie enjoyed a two-year lesbian relationship with a film executive called Christine.
