There was a shock on American Idol's results show last night, as for the first time in the show's history NO ONE was voted off!
The surprising revelation came because of the charity theme that had been carried over from the previous night's show.
After a host of pop stars, including ex-winner Kelly Clarkson and Celine Dion, the show's host Ryan Seacrest announced the non-result: "All your favorites are still in the competition. How could we let anyone go on a charity night?"
Over 70 million votes were cast from Tuesday night, with 10cents of each text and call going to charity.
However those left thinking that their votes won't count needn't worry, as all the numbers counted last night will go forward to next week's show. This means that two contestants will be voted off next week!
Stars including Ben Stiller and Madonna appeared on video screens as part of last night's two-hour episode, while Jack Black sung half of Seal's 'Kiss From A Rose' before Paul Abdul's put-down: "the School of Rock called, they want their diploma back."
