Beyonce And Shakira Hit Number One

Keeping the Arctic Monkeys off the top spot...

Arctic Monkeys have been beaten to number one by Beyonce and Shakira?s track ?Beautiful Liar.?

It was widely thought that ?Brianstorm? would earn the Sheffield outfit another number one, but pop reigned supreme this week.

Another notable new entry was The Enemy with ?Away From Here? at eight, while Mark Ronson?s cover of ?Stop Me? remained at number five.

The album chart saw Avril Lavigne?s ?The Best Damn Thing? outsell Mark Ronson?s ?Version? to claim the top spot.

The only other notable new entry came from Nine Inch Nails at six with ?Year Zero.?
