Robbie Williams has sprung to the defense of his pal Mark Ronson, by offering to "smack" the Arctic Monkeys for criticising the DJ's new single.
Last week Arctic's frontman Alex Turner said: "Let me tell you what I can't stand - that R&B cover version of 'Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before'"
After Robbie read that he rung Ronson, and offered his help.
But the producer doesn't seem too bothered.
Speaking to The Sun Mark said: "Robbie offered to smack them up for me, but I was like 'I don't need to start a northern war'. Rich, young rock stars need something to get angry about"
Robbie Williams guests on the new Mark Ronson album, but is unlikely to be listening to the Arctic's latest.
