Joe Francis, the multi-millionaire creator of the 'Girls Gone Wild' series, has finally been arrested and put into prison on criminal contempt of court charges.
The 34-year old was taken into custody as soon as he stepped off his privately chartered jet in Panama City. You'd have thought he would've chartered it away from the police, but nevermind.
"His attorneys continue to work toward a settlement," Ronn Torossian, a Francis spokesman, said in a statement e-mailed to Associated Press.
Francis is likely to be held until Thursday, when he is to be brought before a local judge.
He has made around $30 million a year from videos of young women exposing their breasts and putting themselves in other sexually provocative situations. Which sounds like a fair way to make a living.
The contempt charge stems during negotiations in a civil lawsuit brought by seven women, who were underage when they were filmed by his company on Panama City Beach during spring break in 2003.
