Tom Hanks is set to reprise his role as Robert Langdon for the film version of Dan Brown�s book �Angels & Demons',  following the success of follow-up book the Da Vinci Code last year.

The screenwriter from �Da Vinci��, Alex Goldsman, is writing the script after being paid a hefty by Sony.

The website cinemablend.com has reported that the studio is adamant hanks will reprise the role as Langdon, and to ensure this have offered him the �biggest salary ever paid to an actor in the history of Hollywood� to star in the film, funnily enough his signature is all but guaranteed.

The site also claims that supermodel Gisele Bundchen (last seen in the horrendous �Taxi� remake) is being lined up for the role of �an Italian woman named Vittoria�.

 The �Angels and Demons� story involves Langdon battling the mysterious Illuminati in the plot to destroy the Vatican.

Filming is scheduled for July this year, which suggests a Spring/Summer 2008 release.
