The new Quentin Tarantino/ Robert Rodriguez collaboration, 'Grindhouse', has failed to knock comedy 'Blades of Glory' from the top spot in the US charts.
On its first weekend, the film made less than half of Blades' weekend gross, coming in at around $11,500,000.
Whilst Tarantinos films have never really set the US alight in theaters, it was expected that the added clout of Rodriguez (Desperado, Spy Kids, From Dusk til Dawn) would push it further up the charts.
Tarantino has always bemoaned his native countrys reactions to his films, saying he always gets a better response from the UK (in one interview stating that his films dont really come home until theyre shown in Leicester Square)
The Will Ferrell comedy continues to gain momentum in the popular family oriented Easter weekend - taking nearly $60million so far.
