Kate Middleton has settled her complaint against the Daily Mirror over press harassment.

The girlfriend of Prince William had made her first complaint to the Press Complaints Commission after the Mirror had taken a close-up picture of her on the way to work.

The incident came at the head of an intense period of interest in Middleton.

"Kate Middleton has made repeatedly clear to the press - through the Commission, to photographers, and to editors directly - that she objects to being followed by photographers when she is on her own going about her daily business and there is no specific public interest reason for following her" said the PCC.

Richard Wallace, editor of the Daily Mirror, said: "We welcome Miss Middleton's decision."

The photo in question, of Kate carrying car keys and a coffee, wasn't really that interesting anyway...
