Whitney Houston's divorce has finally been given the go-ahead by an Orange County judge, though the settlement has left Bobby Brown furious and ready to appeal.

The couple's divorce will be final on April 24th.

Judge Franz E. Miller awarded custody of the couple's 14-year-old daughter, Bobbi Christina Brown, to Houston.

Brown, 40, and Houston, 43, had been married for 14 years. 

According to People magazine, Houston was sobbing in court during the hearing, and refused to speak to reporters afterwards.

Bobby Brown's lawyer has said that the singer intends to appeal, and will file a petition to overturn judge's decisions.
