Orlando Bloom Out Of Pirates 4?

He admits he hasn't been approached to appear...

Monday 02nd Apr 2007

It appears that no-one has told Orlando Bloom about keeping the ?Pirates of the Caribbean? franchise going for a fourth installment, adding to speculation that Bloom won't be signed to continue his role.

Disney are as keen as mustard to do it, and Johnny Depp is telling anyone who?ll listen that he?d like to reprise his part of ?Cap?n Jack?.

Bloom has been quoted by imdb.com as saying ?they haven't said anything to me...so I guess I'm not coming back?.

Bloom may only be half-joking. Rumours have been rife since last year that Disney wants to cut costs if they?re to keep making the series, with Bloom being seen as the most expendable cast member.

Kiera Knightley and Depp are both seen as vital to the success of the films, however Bloom - who plays the hero ? may be seen as surplus to requirements.

Poll  Will It Be The Same Without Orlando?

  • Orlando Bloom IS essential to The Pirates movies! Alot of fans will be greatly disappointed if Bloom is not cast in the 4th movie, including myself! Disney don't disappoint us!!

  • If they're going to get rid of 1 of the 3, it should be Elizabeth! Her character has gone downhill IMO.

  • Orlando needs to be in the movie because as Will Turner, He is to marry Elizabeth Swan and have a family. You can't make people wonder what or what's going to happen next, exspeacialy if your not making any more movies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Here it is, simply put. The first film was a lark, they did not have any clue that it would be such a big success. Watch the extras on the 2nd films dvd and you get the picture there. What made it a success in the first place was he chemistry between the three lead actors. They work, TOGETHER, and make the story work. With such a sometimes complicated, tangled plot, you must have strong characters to bring the story along. With Johnny, Orlando and Kiera are talented actors that work brillian

  • Each one interacts with the other to form a wonderful framework. Disney, and everybody else needs to stop telling us, the public, what we like about these movies. When they do that, they make stupid decisions like not considering Orlando, or the character of Will, for an additional sequal. That is just stupid. The fans want him to stay, and I am sure his co-stars want him. So, stop trying to save a buck on one of the biggest money making francises ever and keep the young hunk in the mix.
