David Tennant has revealed he modelled his Dr Who style on celebrity chef Jamie Oliver.

The actor says he got the idea of how to dress the Doctor as he prepared to take over from Christopher Eccleston when watching Oliver �looking rather cool in a funky suit with trainers� being interview on TV.

He says he immediately got on the phone to writer Russell T Davies and asked, "'Could we do this for the Doctor?'"

Who would have thought it? Jamie Oliver being a fashion trend-setter!
