Camp popstars Scooch beat off stiff competition to become Great Britain's Eurovision picks last night.
The group's air-steward inspired Flying the Flag (For You) came top of the public phone vote after a sing-off with newcomer Cyndi.
However, the result was in doubt for several seconds when - in a hilarious gaff - veteran host Terry Wogan, simultaneously declaring the result with co-presenter Fern Cotton, called out Cyndi as the winner.
Hot favourite Justin Hawkins was so unimpressed with failing to realise his Eurovision 'dream', the ex-Darkness singer stormed off the stage with his singing partner Beverlei Brown.
However at least he got further than ex-Atomic Kitten Liz McClarnon and former East 17 star Brian Harvey who were the first two voted off in a deliciously cruel live popularity vote.
However, we thought Scooch were the deserved winners. Their song may have been slightly less funny by the time we'd heard it for the third time, but it'll be only heard once on the big night - and is definitely inspired Eurovision fodder.
