The gaming website IGN.com has revealed a 'source' claiming to know the plot of the much-anticipated Star Trek 'Reboot', produced and Directed by 'Lost' creator J.J. Abrams.

It's always been assumed that the story will involve Kirk and Spock's first meeting, and probably their time at Starfleet Academy. However, Abrams has recently said that this is 'not necessaily true', and IGN's source claims that the film will centre on their first mission on the Enterprise.

The film is scheduled for Summer 2008 and Matt Damon was announced as front runner for the role of Kirk, with Adrien Brody (King Kong) lined up as Spock, James McAvoy as engineer Scotty and the genius casting (in our humble opinion) of Gary Sinise (CSI New York) as Dr 'Bones' McCoy.
