Jane Russell, a veteran actress and old friend of Marilyn Monroe, has spoken out and claimed that she believs the Hollywood icon didn't take her own life.
"I don't think she killed herself. Someone did it for her. There were dirty tricks somewhere" said Russell.
As her evidence Jane put forward the fact that Marilyn was about to be offered a new movie contract, as well as planning to marry her second husband Joe DiMaggio.
"She wasn't a dumb blonde" Jane added.
Marilyn Monroe has continued to enthrall the public, some 45 years since her death in 1962; recently it emerged that Anna Nicole Smith had expressed a wish to be buried next to Marilyn Monroe.
