Martin Scorcese's The Departed was the biggest winner at this year's Academy Awards, winning in four categories, including best picture and best director for Martin Scorsese.

As widely anticipated, Helen Mirren won best actress for her portrayal of the monarch in The Queen, with best actor gong going to Forest Whitaker for The Last King Of Scotland. Full list of winners below:
