James Blunt had an unfortunate start to his Oscar night partying � he ran over the foot of an autograph hunter.
The British crooner was leaving a party at Hollywood agent Bryan Lourd�s house with his model girlfriend Petra Nemkova when the unfortunate signature hunter got in the way of his car.
Los Angeles police confirmed there was an incident "in which a man's foot was run over".
However, Blunt had managed to recover from the trauma by the time he had reached Soho House LA, a temporary club set up especially in Los Angeles for the Academy Awards week.
Cocktail in hand, he told the Daily Mirror, �I'm here to have a good time after a lot of time and effort in the studio working on my second album."
He was also excited about his planned duet with Sir Elton John at the singer�s post-Oscar party.
He said, �It's amazing that I'm going to duet with Elton John - how cool is that? Things don't come much better, do they?"
