Hollywood actress Denise Richards has been involved in a car crash.

The actress was helping her two year old daughter Sam out of her  vehicle when the collision took place.

It is reported her SUV was hit by a Bentley, and a friend tells Life and Style magazine "the door of her Suv was ripped off its hinges. Denise could've been killed."

A shaken Richards reportedly gave a statement to police at the scene before taking her daughter home.
