According to new reports, illegal narcotics and prescription drugs were found in Anna Nicoles hotel room.
Now, a toxicology report will determine whether one of these drugs or a combination of both substances contributed to her death. The autopsy is scheduled for this morning.
Smith, 39, collapsed and was unresponsive while staying at the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe Hotel and Casino.
Charlie Tiger of the Seminole police said at a news conference that a private female nurse discovered Smith's body at the hotel and that a bodyguard administered CPR at 1:45 p.m.
American channel WFOR-TV reports that Smith was in the room with a nurse when she started to experience "difficulty." The nurse reportedly called Memorial Hospital directly, and while she was on the phone, Smith's bodyguard entered the room and began to perform CPR.
However, perezhilton.com claims that an employee of Anna Nicole Smith found her in her room in the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The employee pulled back a sheet and discovered that she appeared to have choked on her own vomit. The same source claims that Smith took what was referred to as a "children's sedative," and "kept passing out" before her death.
Entertainment Tonight states that Anna Nicole was suffering from flu-like symptoms upon her arrival (at the Hard Rock hotel) on Monday, but her fever had broken by Wednesday. That afternoon, she fell in the bathroom and hit her head. She said she was feeling fine, had a meal and went back to bed. Her partner, Howard K. Stern, told Entertainment Tonight that Smith had a high temperature Wednesday night.
