Bob Geldof is to launch a new onlinechannel aimed at promoting world peace.
According to Broadcast magazine, the peace and anti-poverty campaigner is to collaborate with Ten Alps, the independent production company Bob Geldof helped to set up in 1999.
The project is to be up and running in 2008 and will be funded by the Norwegian organization 'Point Of Peace'.
Ten Alps Digital managing director Nigel Dacre told Broadcast magazine: "This will be more than just an online TV channel. It will be a networking site for people interested in a peace resolution all around the world."
The Boomtown Rats star Geldof was nominated for the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize for organising the Live 8 benefit concerts.
