Pink has apologizesd over comments she made in December calling for people to �ban Australia� over sheep mulesing.

Mulesing, the process of slicing flesh from lambs� rumps to prevent maggot infestation, was the focus of Pink�s rant last year.

In a video for the animal rights charity PETA, Pink described the act as �sadistic�.

But having received an angry letter from Australian farmers telling her that they�re to phase out mulesing from 2010, Pink has been forced to apologise, and clarify what she meant to say.

�I probably could have been a lot more researched on my own�my message was, in my mind, boycott animal cruelty � not an entire industry, not Australia, obviously, because it�s my favourite country� NME quotes the singer behind �Stupid Girl�.

She added: �Then going back, I was speaking without thinking and I actually did say ban Australia. It�s not something that I can agree with. I have nothing against farmers�.
