Madonna has got some much-need support in her adoption battle, she's been called a "loving mother" by a Malawian government official.
The pop star has been battling for permanent custody of baby David Banda, after she took him from his native Malawi following a visit there late last year.
Now Madonna looks favourite to keep custody of David after the current 18-month trial period after Malawis Ministry of Women and Child Welfare principal secretary Adrina Mchiela said, "We have been monitoring her and so far we see a loving mother in Madonna and David is very fine."
Mchiela also told David's father Yohane, who complained earlier this week that he had not been able to contact his son that "he should not be worried."
