Claire King, the British actress most famous for her roles in both Emmerdale and Bad Girls, has been offered a role on Desperate Housewives.
According to ITV.com, Claire is set to play the secret sister of Edie Britt on the hit American show, which returns to British screens for its third season tonight.
King, who caught the eye of American producers whilst they were on a trip to Britain, played the part of Kim Tate in Emmerdale, as well as that of Governor Karen Betts in Bad Girls. She was also recently in the fourth series of Strictly Come Dancing.
From the farms of Yorkshire to the moneyed streets of Wisteria Lane: that�s quite a leap.
