OJ Simpson Sued By Ron Goldman's Father

The father of Ronald Goldman, the man OJ Simpson was acquitted of killing along with his estranged wife Nicole Simpson is suing the former US footballer for the money he made on a recent book and interview deal.

A new book and interview on how OJ would have hypothetically killed his wife and her friend fell through after it was felt to be in bad taste; the woman behind the book and subsequent interview, Judith Regan was fired from her job at HarperCollins last week.

Now Fred Goldman is suing OJ from the money made from the deal and is accusing him of "fraudulent conveyance" alleging that he created a shell corporation to receive the money made from the deal, a reported $1.1million.

A lawyer for Goldman, Jonathan Polak has claimed that the most important aspect of this case is not about how much money OJ has in his bank account, but how the book and interview deals were brokered.

However, a spokesperson for the New Corporation, Andrew Butcher, claims they his company have been working with the Goldman family with regards to their questions about the book and interview.

He said: From the very start, we'd offered every assistance to the family of Ron Goldman. Any information they have asked for regarding the contracts for the Simpson book, we have given them.

The Goldmans lawyer has asked the News Corporation to destroy all known copies of the book with all tights to the book to be assigned to the Goldmans.

Although the News Corporation agreed to destroy the books they have refused to assign rights to the Goldmans, with Butcher saying: "You don't own the rights to someone's book in perpetuity,"

"It doesn't work that way. It's more complicated.

This will run and run...
