X Factor judge Simon Cowell has been voted as the worst influence on British music in the last 20 years.
Cowell, who claims to never listen to music, is only interested in what will sell rather then a good song and has unleashed wave after wave of awful acts on the British charts.
An eMusic poll revealed that in second place were hit makers Stock, Aitken and Waterman who were responsible for the likes of Rick Astley and early Kylie Minogue.
A spokesman for the website said of Cowell and the X Factor: The X Factor may be entertaining but it does produce important musicians.
What about Andy Abraham?
The person thought to have had the positive influence on music over the last 20 years was John Peel, followed by Jools Holland and Michael Eavis.
Is Simon Cowell having a harmful affect on the British music industry?
