Jonathan Ross hosted the British comedy awards last night and shocked the audience when he remarked on Madonna�s new �black� baby.
As Madonna joined him on stage to present an award Ross said to her: �Congratulations on your lovely black baby David.�
Madge replied: �You might be going home with a black eye.�
US film director Oliver Stone also made a tasteless remark regarding the current spate of murders in Ipswich, he said to the audience: �It�s great to be in Great Britain � it�s like Jack the Ripper time again�some things never change.�
He was, quite rightly, booed.
The winners of the evening were Catherine Tate who won best TV actress, Charlotte Church who won Best Newcomer, Sacha Baron Cohen who won the Ronnie Barker Writer�s Award and Ant and Dec who won the People�s Choice award.
