Oscar winning actress Angelina Jolie has spoken out about how her relationship with Brad Pitt began for the very first time.
The �Mr & Mrs Smith� co-stars became a couple very soon after Pitt split from his now ex-wife Jennifer Aniston, but Jolie has always maintained that she did not have a hand in their marriage break-up.
In a new interview with Vogue magazine, Jolie explained meeting Pitt on the set of the action film and described how she �found this strange friendship and partnership.�
"I didn't know much about exactly where Brad was in his personal life, but it was clear that she (Jennifer Aniston) was his best friend, someone he loves and respects."
However, the film brought the couple together: �Whether it was shooting a scene or gun practise � anything we had to do with each other, we just found a lot of joy in it. We just became kind of a pair.�
�We spent a lot of time contemplating and thinking and talking about what we both wanted in life and realised that we wanted very similar things.�
"It took until, really the end of the shoot for us, I think, to realise that it might mean something more than we'd earlier allowed ourselves to believe."
Despite their obvious affection, the couple have no plans to marry, Jolie added: We both have been married before, so it's not marriage that's necessarily kept some people together.
�We�re legally bound to our children � not to each other, and I think that�s the most important thing.�
